Handan Smart Card Project Communication Conference chaired by Li Lianmin,Deputy Director of Handan Municipal Informatization Office,was organized by Handan Municipal Informatization Office and Handan Labor and Social Security Bureau on 3 April,2007.
Dr.Higgins and Mr.Wang Boyong from EU-China Information Society Project and Mr.Zhang Wenhe,Handan Municipal Deputy Secretary General,joined the meeting.Other participants include Wang Dangsheng, investigator of Handan Labor Bureau; Li Shigeng,deputy director of Handan Social Security Center; Song Zhiguo,deputy director of Handan Health Care Center.In addtion, officers from commercial banks, public security bureau, civil affairs department, public health bureau,education and personnel departments,representatives from 88 enterprises and 65 communities attended the meeting with a total attendees 300.
The conference began with the introduction of smart card used in Europe presented by Dr.Column Higgins.Hao Dongliang,director of Handan Smart Card Service Center,introduced the current construction of the project.Questionnaires and feedback were distributed among the meeting participants to collect their suggestions on the constructions of smart cards.
The conference benefited both the public and smart card center.Through the conference,citizens understand convenience that smart card will bring about.They get more and further understanding about the smart card project.For Smart Card Service Center,this is a good channel to communicate with citizens to promote smart cards.
